Awakening Counselling Services is a counselling service agency that aims to help people connect with themselves deeply to achieve peace of mind. Day-to-day, we get so enmeshed in our daily lives that we can forget to take opportunities to foster an even better sense of self as well as meaningful relationships. The experiences we have shape our self-worth, whether negatively or positively. By using a collaborative counselling model, Awakening Counselling Services works with, and empowers clients with the necessary tools to achieve their personal goals, overcome challenges and apply learning through reflection about their life journey. These practices enable clients to embrace the whole self and to work towards achieving personal growth milestones.
Seeking support is difficult for anyone. Acknowledging that the concern or struggle you have is also difficult. Know that when you get support from Awakening Counselling Services, you will find Celine to be very open, understanding, non-judgemental and client centred. Your privacy is of the utmost priority.
One of the goals Celine hopes to achieve is to help clients feel empowered and in control of their own life once again with tools they have acquired through their counselling sessions.
These tools will include various counselling modalities such as Solution Focussed Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, along with psycho – educational information.
Celine tries to engage with the client through assurance that the session they are in is theirs. Therefore, they process and unpack various aspects that have impacted their present life.

Celine has a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from the University of Toronto; a Bachelor of Social Work with honours from York University; and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Windsor. She is also a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

Awakening Counselling Services provides counselling support to youth 13+, for men, women and individuals within the LGBTQ2S community.
Awakening Counselling Services practices from a cultural competence model to ensure clients are treated with dignity and respect. The agency specializes in domestic violence, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, life skills, group facilitation, sexual trauma, mindfulness, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem building, anger, self-harm, stress management, grief and bereavement, and emotional regulation. The counselling services are offered privately and through insurance. Fees for the services are $120.00.

Awakening Counselling Services believes in fostering healthy and positive relationships with clients that is collaborative and organic. Collaboration with the client allows the client to feel in control and empowered on their journey to an enlightened sense of self. By establishing an organic relationship, the client will know that they are in a safe space.
Awakening Counselling Services sessions include creativity, establishing counselling goals, while ensuring the client is receiving support. Ultimately, Awakening Counselling Services feels that when an individual has a moment of clarity and takes positive steps towards their goals, then both client and counselor are successful.
Awakening counselling utilizes various modalities of talk therapy treatment. To begin with Awakening Counselling Services practices from a cultural competency and anti-oppression perspective, Along with this practice is the use of motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, solution-focussed counselling, trauma informed practice, and elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
Awakening Counselling Services provides free consultations via telephone contact, text or through email. The consultation is necessary because it presents as an opportunity for Celine to assess the needs, concerns, and know the counselling goals of the client. To conduct a consultation in person is considered a payable counselling session.
At this time Awakening Counselling Services rates for subsidy is determined by insurance coverage. The insurance companies that Awakening Counselling Services is a provider for are Green Shield and Blue Cross. Please consult with your insurance provider to determine if fees are covered.
Awakening Counselling Services fees are $120.00. A sliding scale is available. Please refer to Purchase and or Book an Appointment page for more details.
